Acceptable Use Policy

1. Introduction

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs your use of the Rankley platform, including the Rankley website, application, Agency Directory, APIs, integrations, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

This AUP forms part of Rankley’s Terms of Service. By using the Services, you agree to comply with this AUP.

2. General Use Principles

You agree to use the Services:

  • Lawfully
  • Ethically
  • In a manner consistent with their intended purpose
  • Without causing harm to Rankley, other users, or third parties

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your Account.

3. Prohibited Activities

You may not use the Services to:

a. Illegal or Harmful Activities

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Promote or facilitate illegal activity
  • Upload or distribute malware, spyware, or malicious code
  • Engage in phishing, fraud, or deceptive practices

b. Platform Abuse & Security Violations

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems, accounts, or data
  • Circumvent security measures or access controls
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services
  • Probe, scan, or test vulnerabilities without authorization

c. Misuse of Data & Integrations

  • Access, collect, or use data beyond the permissions explicitly granted
  • Scrape, harvest, or extract data from the Services without authorization
  • Use Google API data or other integration data for advertising, resale, or profiling
  • Retain integration data after access has been revoked

d. Misrepresentation & Deceptive Conduct

  • Impersonate another person or entity
  • Misrepresent your identity, qualifications, or affiliations
  • Provide false or misleading information in listings, reports, or communications
  • Falsely imply endorsement or partnership with Rankley

e. Directory-Specific Abuse

When using the Rankley Agency Directory, you may not:

  • Post false, misleading, or exaggerated claims
  • Manipulate rankings, reviews, or placement
  • Spam businesses or agencies with unsolicited messages
  • Circumvent Rankley’s introduction, lead, or access mechanisms

f. Content Violations

You may not upload or distribute content that:

  • Is unlawful, defamatory, or abusive
  • Infringes intellectual property or privacy rights
  • Contains hate speech, harassment, or threats
  • Is sexually explicit or otherwise inappropriate for a professional platform

g. Excessive or Abusive Usage

You may not:

  • Generate excessive automated requests that degrade system performance
  • Use scripts, bots, or automation to access the Services without authorization
  • Abuse Credits, audits, or reporting features in a manner inconsistent with your plan

4. Google API & Third-Party Data Use

If you connect Google APIs or other third-party integrations, you agree to:

  • Use the data only for the features you explicitly enabled
  • Comply with all applicable Google API Services User Data Policies
  • Not sell, rent, or share Google user data
  • Not use Google user data for advertising or profiling
  • Delete or anonymize integration data when access is revoked or no longer needed

Violation of these requirements may result in immediate suspension.

5. Enforcement & Consequences

Rankley may take enforcement action if this AUP is violated, including:

  • Warnings or notices
  • Temporary suspension of access
  • Permanent Account termination
  • Removal from the Agency Directory
  • Revocation of integrations or permissions

Rankley may act immediately without notice where required to protect users, systems, or legal compliance.

6. Reporting Violations

If you believe the Services are being misused or this AUP has been violated, please report it to:

7. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our Services, legal requirements, or risk profile.

The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when this policy was last revised.
